JAMMU, Oct 18: DPS Jammu marked Police Commemoration Day with a special session led by Inspector Bhupinder Singh from the Cyber Police Station, Jammu, honouring the sacrifices of police martyrs.
The session aimed to instil respect and gratitude for the brave police personnel who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Inspector Singh was welcomed by the Head Boys, Prasan Sharma and Momin Adnan, and the Head Girls, Myra Nargotra and Sameeksha Rai, alongside Principal Ruchi Chhabra and the school staff. As a gesture of appreciation, the Principal presented him with a potted plant.
During his address, Inspector Singh spoke on the significance of Police Commemoration Day and the valour of police personnel, sharing stories of martyrs who have safeguarded the nation’s peace.
He encouraged students to adopt a strong work ethic and dedication, qualities essential for success.
In addition to paying homage to the fallen, Inspector Singh also shared practical advice on cybercrime prevention, which captivated the students’ interest.
The session was interactive, with students raising thoughtful questions on both police duties and cyber security, which Inspector Singh answered comprehensively.
The event concluded with Principal Chhabra expressing gratitude for the insightful session. She also presented a memento to Inspector Singh on behalf of the school.
The session was attended by Vice Principal Meenu Gupta, Headmaster Ravi Kotroo, Deputy Headmaster Umesh Sharma, Deputy Headmistress Rimpi Sharma and retired SSP ML Mehra, among others.
