JAMMU, Oct 15: To make children understand the importance of Eid-ul-Azha, DPS Jammu organized a special assembly to commemorate the occasion, here today.
On the occasion, the students were enlightened through a talk on the reason and significance of the festival which is celebrated by the Muslims and others across the world.
A lively cultural programme was presented by the students, which included qawalis, sufi songs and dances.
The winners of Inter-House and Inter-Section competitions were also awarded on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school, S Sonar highlighted the importance of the qualities like obedience, sacrifice, cooperation and perseverance for leading a successful life.
