JAMMU, July 11: All J&K Dr Ambedkar Welfare Forum has expressed concern over the delayed pensions in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media persons here at Guru Ravi Dass Complex, Rajpura, Jammu, the forum chairman Dev Raj Angral, president Rashpal Digra, and general secretary Ramesh Angurana claimed the pensioners have been facing a lot of hardships these days due to delay in release of the pensions.
They urged the LG Administration that old age and widow and handicap pensions be released immediately on old pattern to avoid any further harassment to the pensioners.
They also urged the administration to resolve the issues of scholarships of SC/ST students on a priority basis.
The UT administration was also urged to bring more welfare schemes for the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
