JAMMU, Jan 2: Dr Amita Gupta, a noted Gynecologist and Obstetrician of Jammu region has been appointed as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu.
She is a prominent alumnus of GMC Jammu having completed her post-graduation in the subject in the year Obstetrics and Gynaecology 1991. Thereafter, she joined the department as Lecturer in the year 2000 and since then has risen to the rank of Professor.
Dr Amita is also the secretary of prestigious Jammu Obstetrics & Gynecological Society. She is the principal investigator of HRRC Programme under Indian Council of Medical Research. Her special areas of interest are High Risk Pregnancy and Infertility. It is also pertinent to mention here that she is spouse of renounced Gynecologist of the city Dr Yudhister Vir Gupta.
