JAMMU, Dec 15: Dr Anish Kumar-Assistant Professor at LPU Punjab and son of the soil hailing from Udhampur has become the only Indian to receive Travel Grant Award from New York University Abudhabi.
He presented a paper on Managing Albendazole resistance in parasites using traditional Indian medicinal plants such as Andrographics Paniculata by using bioinformatics tools.
Dr Kumar recently represented India at Monash University Malaysia where he participated in a training programme of Wellcome Genome Campus UK.
He worked with parasite databases resources and on next generation sequencing techniques.
