JAMMU, Sept 21: In a major feat for a Jammu Surgeon, the International College of Laparoscopic Surgeons has honoured Dr M R Attri, Assistant Professor in the Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar with Fellowship in Laparoscopic surgery for his pioneering work and contributions in the field.
The honour was bestowed upon Dr Attri, a prominent Laparoscopic Surgeon of India in Srinagar today.
“The President and Board of Governors of International College of Laparoscopic Surgeon hereby admit Dr M R Attri as a Fellow of the College for mastering the art and science of laparoscopic surgery and pioneering the advancement of the specialty. He is entitled to share all honours and privilege enjoyed by the Fellows of the College. He is also permitted to write FCLS as suffix to his name,” the fellowship awarded to Dr Attri by the College said.
Dr Attri has done pioneering work and contributed a lot in the field of laparoscopic surgery in both teaching and training, both nationally as well as in Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in imparting training in laparoscopic surgery all over the State including peripheral health services. He is a member of Association of Surgeons of India, Life Member of Association of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons of India and other organisations etc.
