JAMMU, Nov 13: Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Azhar Malik, HoD at Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu, a national level online workshop was conducted at IGGDC in collaboration with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
During workshop, graduate and postgraduate scholars along with staff members of IGGDC were enlightened about Endodontic Microsurgery along with live demonstration of surgery in a three day comprehensive online workshop conducted under Dental Operating Microscope which was telecasted all over India.
Live peri-radicular microsurgery for removal of foreign body/lesion under Dental Operating Microscope was performed by Dr. Abrar Sayed.
Lecture by International Speaker, Dr. David Baker was also delivered.
There was a rich session of queries which was responded by faculty members.
The event highlighted the importance of modern equipments like Dental Operating Microscope and techniques to make all the participants aligned with the recent educational innovations under the guidance of Dr. Azhar Malik and his team including Dr. Ajay Gupta, Dr. Shamim Anjum, Dr. Rudra Koul, Dr. Ravinder Bhagat, Dr. Sachin Chadgal, Dr. Taniya and Dr. Saksham.
The certificates for participation were given to the participants and the programme was organized under the overall supervision of Principal & Dean, Dr. Parveen Akhter Lone who was also chief guest on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Parveen Akhter stressed on the need for students to be exposed at national level for enhancing teaching and learning standards and for showcasing College’s excellence at national level.
