JAMMU, Mar 11: Dr Parshant Bakshi, presently working as Associate Professor, Fruit Science in Advanced Centre for Horticulture Research of SKUAST-Jammu, has been awarded with Best Language Film in Dogri during the first MANAGE Agri Film Festival by National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad.
The award for the film, titled “Walk and Talk in Dogri: Strawberry Organic farming” was presented during an impressive function attended by B C Patil, Agriculture Minister, Govt of Karnataka; Dr P Chandra Shekara, Director General MANAGE; Dr M V Venkatesh, Commissioner; C N Nandini Kumari, Director Agriculture and others.
MANAGE is the premiere institute of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This is for the first time that the videos of agriculture and its allied branches were evaluated in the country and they were uploaded on the webportal of MANAGE for its visibility to the concerned person.
In all there were 273 film entries from 107 participants from 20 States all over the country wherein total 16 awards were presented and Dr Parshant Bakshi is one among them.
