JAMMU, Mar 22: Dr Balbir Dhotra, working with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu, has been awarded with Young Scientist Award.
The award was given to Dr Balbir Dhotra by the Society of Agriculture Innovation and Development (SAID), Ranchi on the basis of his outstanding research contribution in the field of agriculture (Soil Science) and for his endeavours for the welfare of the farming community and soil health. The award was conferred to him in two days National Conference on Livelihood and Food Security (LFS-2018), held at Bihar Veterinary College, Patna, Bihar and organized by Society of Agriculture Innovation and Development (SAID), Ranchi. The award carries a Gold Plated Medal and a Certificate.
Dr Balbir Dhotra, son of Pushap Lata and Ram Rattan Sharma of Tarore, Samba, is presently working as Junior Scientist at Advanced Centre for Horticulture Research presently working at OFRC, Directorate of Research, Chatha, of SKUAST-Jammu.
He has contributed 10 publications in reputed National Journals and magazines.
