JAMMU, Nov 23: Renowned Orthopaedician Dr Balvinder Singh has been nominated as one of the members of the Medical Committee of All India Football Federation (AIFF).
He is presently working as Consultant Orthopaedics at District Hospital Udhampur and is also president of Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ). Dr Balvinder who is MBBS and MS Orthopaedics and has done his fellowship in Arthroscopy, Sports Injury and Joint Replacement from Germany is doing Arthroscopy surgeries like ACL reconstruction, bankart repair and rotator cuff repair in Jammu, thus helping sports players of Jammu and Kashmir to get their treatment in the home state, thereby saving their money and time.
It’s a great honour for J&K that many sports players, national as well as international, comes to Dr Balvinder Singh in Udhampur from different parts of India for sports related surgeries, thus promoting health tourism in the Union Territory. In the past, Dr Balvinder worked as Assistant Professor in Safdarjung Hospital (New Delhi) which is premier institute of Orthopaedics in India.
