JAMMU, Oct 15: Dr Banarsi Lal, Sr Scientist & Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) was today conferred with the prestigious ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam-Puruskar-2022’.
The award was presented during the virtual international conference on ‘New Horizons in Interdisciplinary Research and International’ on the birth anniversary of Missile Man of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
The event was jointly organised by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida and International Council of Social Reforms and Research in association with Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education.
The award has been conferred to the scientist in recognisation of his meritorious achievements and outstanding accomplishments in the agricultural sector. The research committee considered Dr Banarsi for the award on the basis of his profile comprising the research papers published in reputed journals as first author, books as first author, book chapters as first author, popular and research articles as first author, research and innovative extension technologies devised and disseminated etc.
