JAMMU, Jan 6: Dr Dushyant Choudhary of Rotary Club of Jammu Tawi was the selection of Nominating Committee for Governor of Rotary District 3070 for 2022-23.
A handout stated that he was declared the District Governor Nominee Designate on December 31 when no challenge was suggested by the Rotary Clubs of the District 3070.
The Rotary District 3070 comprises of UTs of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and majority of States of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh with around 110 Clubs and 4600 Rotarians.
Dr. Dushyant, physician specialist by profession, is the first ever Rotary Governor to be selected from J&K. Owing to his tremendous philanthropic activities, he was elected with big majority after nomination committee elections were held in nine zones of J&K, Himachal and Punjab.
He is Medical Director of Maxx Lyfe Hospital and Trauma Centre, Bathindi, Jammu and his spouse, Dr Shivani, is a Consultant at GMC Jammu.
In his maiden address as Rotary Governor, he said that Rotary is committed to eradicate the polio from the world and will focus various areas of disease prevention and treatment, basic education, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, peace and conflict prevention etc.
