Dr D P Abrol attends Int’l Bee Conference at Muscat

JAMMU, Oct 5: Dr D P Abrol, ex-Dean Faculty of Agriculture of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) Jammu, attended recently held 3rd International Bee Conference and Exhibition Africa Bee Expo at Muscat Oman.
Organised by Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries, and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman, it was a well attended conference where beekeepers, scientists, researchers, environmentalists, health practitioners, bee products processors, importers and exporters, Government institutions and NGOs took part in this remarkable event.
There was huge exhibition on various bee products, bee equipment and related industrial products which provided a great opportunity for all to share experiences and create market linkages. The conference was held with high standard and full-fledged conference and exhibition facilities
Prof Abrol was invited as a keynote speaker from India to deliver a lecture on ‘The future role of Dwarf honeybees in natural and agricultural systems’.
Professor Abrol is a well known Scientist in the field of Apiculture. He has vast experience and expertise on honeybee management, pollination biology, bee ecology, toxicology, economic entomology and pest management. He has authored 22 books, 12 manuals and published over 250 original research papers in various national and international journals.
