NEW DELHI, Nov 27: Senior BJP leader and Chairperson of Central Waqf Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi called on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi here, today
Dr Andrabi appraised the Prime Minister about the present political situation in J&K and presented a memorandum to the Prime Minister. Dr Andrabi suggested many new initiatives for Jammu & Kashmir youth and women. She requested the Prime Minister to announce special recruitment drives for the un-employed youth of J&K and also requested for special economic initiatives for infra-structural development in both the divisions of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Prime Minister assured Dr Andrabi that Government of India is devising special development projects and schemes for J&K which will be announced and implemented soon. Narendra Modi lauded the people of J&K for their support to the local and Central Government in maintaining peace in J&K after the decision of abrogation of Article 370.
