Dr Farooq asks admn to address Chenab region’s needs

SRINAGAR, Jan 1: National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah has called upon the administration to intensify their efforts and ensure the timely resolution of challenges faced by the residents of the Chenab region following the recent heavy snowfall.
Acknowledging the extent of the snowfall and its impact, Dr Farooq emphasized the importance of sustained administrative efforts in restoring essential services and addressing the immediate needs of the affected population. He praised the Government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for their proactive approach and the significant public outreach initiatives undertaken by party MLAs and Ministers during this challenging time.
Dr Farooq highlighted how these measures have played a pivotal role in alleviating the difficulties faced by the people and restoring a semblance of normalcy in the Kashmir Valley and the winter zones of Jammu. “The prompt response in snow clearance, restoration of power and water supply, and ensuring adequate ration supply has greatly eased the hardships of the people,” he stated.
He also lauded Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for personally supervising relief efforts, ensuring that the administration remains on the ground to address the grievances of the people effectively. According to Dr Farooq, this hands-on approach by the Chief Minister has instilled confidence among the people and demonstrated the Government’s commitment to their welfare.
Dr Farooq urged the administration to remain vigilant and ensure that relief measures continue seamlessly until the situation in the Chenab region is fully normalized. He expressed hope that such dedicated efforts will build trust and reinforce public confidence in governance.
