SRINAGAR, Sept 22: President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Dr Farooq Abdullah today cautioned people regarding the grave repercussions of dividing votes in the upcoming second phase of elections.
He emphasized the critical importance of unity and strategic voting to ensure the success of the party’s agenda. Dr Farooq Abdullah said this during his election campaign rally in Eidgah. The event was organized by the party’s contesting candidate for Eidgah Mubarak Gul.
In his address, he said, “The fate of Kashmir hangs in the balance, and it is imperative that every vote counts towards a brighter future for J&K. The current Assembly elections are a battleground of ideologies, with the divisive BJP and its supporters on one side, and the NC-Congress Alliance on the other, fighting to prevent the BJP’s influence from spreading further. It is imperative that the people not only defeat the BJP but also reject any candidate who aims to divide votes, as the repercussions of such actions are still being felt from the 2014 elections.”
