JAMMU, Apr 8: Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta, Medical Superintendent, AIIMS (Dr RP Centre) has been appointed as Honorary Consultant to Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tripura, to study the Health System including various Hospitals, identify the gaps and suggest recommendations for improvement.
In this connection, Dr Gupta visited the State on April 7 along with Dr Vijaydeep Sidharth, Assistant Professor, Hospital Administration in-connection with establishment of Trauma and Burn Centre, up-gradation of Cancer Hospital, training of Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics in ICU, OT and Emergency Department and other services.
Today, he had meeting with Chief Minister, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department, Directors of various departments and 20 officials from Health Department.
Dr Gupta is expected to submit a detail report by the end of this month. The report will be a vision document for the State of Tripura and will give road map with time lines for the implementations of recommendations.
