JAMMU, Aug 9: Dr Rattan Lal Hangloo, a well known scholar and former Vice Chancellor, Central University Allahabad and Kalyani University, West Bengal has been awarded honorary rank of Colonel for his exemplary work that he has done as academician and as an administrator by the Government of India.
Prof Hangloo served as professor for 38 long years in various universities of India and abroad. He also served as VC of two prestigious universities for seven years besides heading the chairs of Indian history abroad. He is a senior full bright and DAAD scholar.
Prof Hangloo is also Chancellor of Nobel University of Canada.
