Dr Jitendra appointed Central Observer for Andhra BJP President election

NEW DELHI, Dec 29: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has been appointed as Central Observer for the election of Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Party President.
As per communique issued by the New Delhi Central office of BJP, different States and Union Territories have been officially assigned to different national leaders as Central Observers, to conclude the election of the State President or UT President in the respective States and UTs.
Pertinent to mention that the process of organizational election within the BJP in various States has been going on for quiet some time, and has now entered its concluding phase. In most of the cases, the election of the Party Presidents at Mandal and District level has been accomplished and now, in the final phase, the election of the Party President at the State level has been initiated.
While Dr Jitendra Singh has been appointed BJP Central Observer for Andhra Pradesh, likewise some of the other national leaders appointed as Central Observers include Dharmendra Pradhan for Assam, Piyush Goyal for Chandigarh, Ravi Shankar Prasad for Gujarat, Thawar Chand Gehlot for Bihar, Narendra Singh Tomar for Odisha, Dr Raman Singh for Telangana, Bhupendra Yadav for Uttar Pradesh, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for Madhya Pradesh, Dr Ramesh Pokhiriyal for Himachal Pradesh, Dr Harshvardhan for Jammu & Kashmir, Shivraj Singh Chouhan for Uttarakhand, P Mulidhar Rao for West Bengal, Om Mathur for Maharashtra and Pon Radhakrishan for Lakshwdeep.
As per the sources, each of the national Central Observers appointed by the Party will be personally present during the conduct of election of the State President on a mutually fixed date and will personally oversee the conduct of the entire election in his presence. The process will conclude with the formal declaration of the name of the new State BJP President by the Central Observer.
With the stage set for the completion of the process of election of BJP Presidents for different States/UTs, as per the BJP party constitution, the next step would be the election of the new National President of the Party. Pertinent to mention that presently Amit Shah is the National President of BJP while Jagat Prakash Nadda is the National Working President. In the mean time, Amit Shah has also taken over as Union Home Minister after the formation of the Modi Government 2.0 following the recent Lok Sabha election.
