JAMMU, Aug 6: BJP today organised district Working Committee meetings at various places of Jammu region.
Addressing the Working Committee meeting at Udhampur today Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh said that this is one of the best phases from the point of view of development in J&K because Narendra Modi Government has special consideration for J&K and North eastern States.
He said the PM is taking personnel interest in development of these States and Centre is ready to give any type of assistance and it is up to us to spend the funds judiciously and in time line.

Dr Jitendra Singh said as for Udhampur district Rs 300 crore worth of roads under PMGSY were sanctioned and he asked for preparing DPRs for any pending work so that no PMGSY Project is left unattended. But he also appealed for timely completion of work on Udhampur -Goldi road funds for which were released last year but work has not been started till date.
The Union Minister also appealed the authorities for issuing tender for Rs 169 crore Devika Project and completion of other priorities in this regard so that the work on the same can be started on priority basis.
He said 27 foot bridges were completed in the district through convergence from MP LAD and support will be extended for construction of other bridges in the district, he added.
Besides Dr Jitendra Singh, former State president and MLC Ashok Khajuria,State general secretary, Pawan Khajuria, State secretary & district Prabhari, Anil Parihar, district president Rakesh Gupta and MLAs Dinanath Bhagat and R S Pathania participated in the meeting.
State President and MLA Sat Sharma inaugurated the Working Committee meeting of Jammu West District, along with State general secretary Harinder Gupta, BJP former Spokesperson and Corporation Vice-Chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan, State treasurer Chander Mohan Gupta, district Prabhari Jugal Gupta, District organizational secretary Mohan Rana and district president Ayodhya Gupta at Bakshi Nagar.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, said that Working Committee meeting is an important event in the organizational set up of BJP, which helps to review the ongoing political and organizational activities, planning for the future programmes and giving enough time for the face to face interaction between the senior leaders and the ground activists of the party. He mentioned about the achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government like surgical strike, demonetization, and recent passage of reformatory tax GST by the Centre as well as State, against all odds and claimed that it will lead to the true economic unification of J&K State with the rest of the country.
Harinder Gupta and Balbir Ram Rattan also spoke on the occasion. Jugal Gupta also addressed it while Ayodhya Gupta, delivered the welcome address.
Similarly, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and Rajesh Gupta Party Chief Whip & MLA, Jammu East, along with district president Baldev Singh Billawaria inaugurated the Working Committee meeting of district Jammu at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar and addressed individual sessions.
State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul along with Minister Chander Parkash Ganga, State media additional secretary, Rakesh Mahajan and MLA Dr. Devinder Manyal addressed the Working Committee meeting of district Samba.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MoS Education Priya Sethi, Minister of Health Bali Bhagat, MLA Sukhnandan Choudhary and State additional secretary Suresh Sharma addressed the Working Committee meeting of Jammu Rural at Nagbani.
At Doda the meeting was chaired by Manddep Razdhan district president, Som Khajuria incharge district Doda and Ghulam Ali Khatana, State secretary besides MLA Bhaderwah, Dilip Singh Parihar and MLA Doda Shakti Parihar were also present. A political resolution was also passed on the occasion.
Working Committee meeting of Basohli was held at Billawar, Ramban at Batote, Nowshehra at Sunderbani, Yuva Morcha at Urban Farm, Kashmir displaced migrant at Muthi, district Reasi at Katra, district Doda at Doda and district Akhnoor at Akhnoor.
