NEW DELHI, Jan 24: Speaking to media persons at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here today, soon after the election of Amit Shah as Party’s National President, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh hailed Amit Shah’s amazing ability to meet even the most formidable challenges and said, “in contemporary scenario, Amit bhai is the best option to lead the organisation, which is why he has been unanimously elected “.
Elaborating further, Dr Jitendra Singh said, Amit Shah has on different occasions during his life and career, proved his amazing ability to take challenges head-on and overcome them. While he rose to the post of National President on the strength of his endurance and struggle beginning from a grass-root ‘Karyakarta’, he has also demonstrated similar skill in leading the BJP in its struggle to rise to the position of supremacy that it has achieved today, he said.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the most incredible feature of Amit Shah’s tenure as BJP National President during the last three years was that he not only ensured the growth of the organization to become the largest political party, but also succeeded in registering the BJP’s presence and visibility in States and regions where it was hardly heard of. Citing example of Jammu & Kashmir, he said, BJP became a ruling party there even though nobody could have imagined this till a few years ago. Similarly, in certain States of Northeast where the BJP membership number stood only in two digits, today the membership has grown to thousands.
Describing Amit Shah as an extremely hardworking person with a very committed and focused approach, Dr Jitendra Singh said, Shah’s organizational skills in combination with Narendra Modi’s charisma and leadership qualities are the best option for the country today. The two leaders have not only tremendously raised the self-confidence of the BJP Karyakartas, but have also inspired confidence and esteem among the common masses of the country, he added.
