Jubilant BJP activists hold celebrations across J&K

JAMMU, June 4: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the victory of two party candidates in Jammu and marvelous performance by BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the country.
The Jubilant party men distributed sweets at Party headquarters here soon after the trend of results started pouring in. They danced and hugged each other.
The BJP JK UT president, Ravinder Raina, party general secretary, (Org) Ashok Koul, party general secretaries, Dr D K Manyal and Vibodh Gupta, former State president , Sat Sharma, former Ministers, Priya Sethi and Sham Sharma, DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bushan, former MLAs, Devender Singh Rana, Ashwani Sharma, Shivdev Singh, R S Pathania and Balwant Singh Mankotia, former Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, party vice president, Yudhvir Sethi, district BJP president, Pramodh Kapahi, BJP women wing president, Sangita Dogra and other leaders participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the jubilant party men Ravinder Raina said BJP led NDA is inching to majority and PM Modi will form the Government for the third consecutive term. He said Congress led INDIA bloc is far-behind.
Raina said people of the country right from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari have voted for a strong Government under the leadership of Modi. He congratulated people of Jammu in reposing their faith in the party by electing Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma for third consecutive term from this region.
Later in the afternoon, BJP candidate from Jammu, Reasi constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma was given a warm welcome at party office by jubilant BJP activists. Speaking on the occasion, Jugal complimented the people of his constituency for reposing faith in him. He also gave credit of his victory to party activists right from booth level who worked hard to ensure his victory.
In Kathua soon after the result of Dr Jitendra Singh was announced the jubilant BJP activists held a procession to celebrate the victory. They while congratulating Dr Jitendra Singh profusely garlanded him. Dr Jitendra Singh drove straight to the statue of former Jana Sangh president, Dr Shamaprasad Mookherjee’s in the town and paid obeisance to him.
Talking to media persons Dr Jitendra Singh said the credit to his victory goes to people of his constituency and party activists who provided him third chance to serve them. He assured to carry forward the development agenda of PM Modi to make Kathua a hub of education and also promote the health sector. He complimented the people of his constituency including women, youth, elders and last man in the last queue by standing with the party.
The party activists celebrated the victory at Doda by taking out a procession in the town. The celebrations were also held in Arnia, Bishnah, in Jammu district Samba and other places.
At Srinagar BJP leaders led by party spokesperson, Altaf Thakur, district president, Ashok Bhat and senior leader Mushtaq Noorabadi who were joined by large number of activists in celeberating the party’s victory. The jubilations were held in front of Party’s Srinagar office in which large number BJP activists with party flags in their hands participated. They congratulated PM Modi, and Party national president, J P Nadda and other senior leaders for NDA’s victory in the elections.
