“Since the people of the region are facing gross inconvenience, the decision to order Railway to stop at Chhan Rorian, even though temporarily for the time being, will go a long way in mitigating their sufferings till the damaged road bridge is restored,” Dr Singh said in the letter.
“May I also mention here for your kind reference that the Jammu Mail stop at this same station of ‘Chhan Rorian’ existed earlier also before the onset of COVID pandemic,” Dr Singh added.
Meanwhile, Northern Railway authorities today confirmed that Jammu Mail will now stop at Chhan Rorian Station for one minute, at 18.06 hrs while coming from Jammu side for Delhi and at 5.25 hrs while on way from Delhi towards Jammu and Katra.
