Dr Jitendra re-elected to National Diabetes Executive Committee

NEW DELHI, Nov 8: In a rare recognition of the countrywide goodwill enjoyed by him among his fraternity, renowned Diabetologist & National Professor of Diabetes,Dr Jitendra Singh has been re-elected for the second consecutive term of three years to the National Executive Committee of RSSDI (Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India), the largest, the most prestigious and the most influential registered body of Diabetologists and Endocrinologists in India with its membership spread across the length and breadth of country as well as among the NRI medical professionals abroad. The results of election held on All-India basis through postal ballot paper were announced here today on the inaugural day of three-day 41st Annual Conference of RSSDI being held at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, National Capital Region (NCR), Delhi.
In the last RSSDI election held three years ago, Dr Jitendra Singh had won the National Executive berth after defeating all his rivals by polling over 60% of the total votes cast from across the country and abroad. This time, all the eligible aspirants decided not to contest against Dr Jitendra Singh in acknowledgement of his all-round acceptability and amicable image.
Dr Jitendra Singh has many firsts to his credit in the field of diabetes specialty. He is Chairman, Scientific Committee for Delhi RSSDI conference 2013.
He was the first ever medical professional to receive the prestigious “Jamna Devi Gian Devi Award” for journalism. His books and monograms are published by London based Elsvier Publishers. He is author of five books, 5000 published articles and chapters in over 20 text books. One of the books written by him and titled “Diabetes made Easy” was included in the best-seller section of “World book Fair” held at Pragati Maidan ,New Delhi.
