Dr Jitendra resumes work from office, announces DoPT’s online COVID course

NEW DELHI, Apr 13: Soon after resuming work from the Ministry of Personnel office in the North Block here today, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh announced DoPT’s (Department of Personnel & Training) Online course on COVID awareness.
Dr Jitendra Singh, who held a meeting with Secretary DoPT C. Chandramouli, Secretary ARPG Kshatrapati Shivaji, Establishment Officer Pradeep Tripathi and Senior Additional Secretaries duly observing social – distancing norms and simultaneously got connected through video conferencing with Joint Secretaries working in different departments under Ministry of Personnel, said that the Online Course for awareness of COVID-19 pandemic is being conducted by DoPT, both on mobile as well desktop setting, through DIKSHA platform for all the Ministries who are part of the “iGOT Partners”. The target group for this programme includes Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, hygiene workers, technicians, Central and State Government Officers, Civil Defence Officials, various Police organizations, National Cadet Corps(NCC), Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), etc.
During the meeting, the Minister was also informed that the National Monitoring Dashboard for COVID-19 grievances launched on 1st April had, in the first twelve days, redressed as many as over 7,000 Covid related public grievances with an average disposal time of 1.75 day.
The meeting also discussed the readiness of various departments to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and at the same time, to keep the continuity of official work, even though with a truncated staff.
Dr Jitendra Singh advised all the officers to take the required care of themselves as well as their families and assured that the department will also try to make all arrangements to ensure that they do not suffer from any inconvenience. He asked DoPT and ARPG Secretaries to come out with a plan to regulate the staff presence in the office in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines and ensure that all work disposal is through e-file as far as possible.
