Dr Jitendra reviews progress on various central schemes

KATHUA, Jan 7: Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh chaired a meeting of Vigilance and Monitoring Committee here today.
Newly elected Members of Legislative Assembly Rajiv Jasrotia, Dr Nirmal Singh, Jewan Lal and Kuldeep Raj were present in the meeting.
Giving brief about the physical and financial achievement during the current year under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Programmes launched in the district, the District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal made a Power Point Presentation of various works being executed by the concerned departments.
The Chairman, on the occasion, appreciated the DDC for being elected for National Award for best practices in conduct of Lok Sabha Elections-2014. He hailed the DDC and pinned hope that the administration under his command will achieve more such feats in coming time.
Various schemes and programmes which were discussed in the meeting inter alia include MGNREGA, IAY, RHS, Total Sanitation Campaign , PMGSY, National Rural Health Mission, National Rural Drinking Water Supply Programme, Swarn Jayanti Garmin Swarozgar Yojana, DRDA-ADM, Integrated Watershed Management Programme, National Land Records Modernization Programme and National Social Assistance Programme.
Dr Jitender Singh also reviewed the  pace of works being executed under MPLADS.
