JAMMU, Mar 20: BJP organised a meeting at party Headquarters here, today regarding the Kathua, Udhampur, Doda Lok Sabha Constituency poll campaign which was presided over by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, and the party candidate for the Lok Sabha Constituency. He had a detailed interaction with media team and apprised them about the development works undertaken in the Udhampur Constituency over the last four years.

Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs who has been assigned the additional responsibility to focus on Udhampur Constituency was also present in the meeting. Dr. Jitendra Singh shared the Table Book with him giving details of the development works regarding the Udhampur Parliamentary Segment which is going to the polls on April 18.
The members were asked that the book should reach media, intellectuals, social and political activists besides the opinion makers.
Dr. Jitendra Singh made it clear that there is no scope for any misinformation in the technology driven world since the party and the Government have put all efforts to ameliorate the living conditions of the people in general. The Udhampur -Constituency has been fortunate enough to get special attention of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi all these five years. The Pakal Dul Project in Kishtwar, Passenger and Luggage Ropeway at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Passport office Seva Kendra at Kathua, Cleansing process of River Devika in Udhampur, Seed processing plant in Kathua, Multipurpose Ujh Project, Highest railway bridge in district Reasi, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan oriented construction work along the international border, work done under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna are some of the glaring instances of the development work done during the last five years. The work done in the Constituency has also an overwhelming impact in the adjoining areas of the Constituency. Once elected for the next term in the ensuing elections, the already achieved gains will be consolidated and the pending projects will also be completed in record time.
Chrungoo in his address said that BJP stands for a clear ideology. The nationalism and patriotism are the fundamental corner stones of its ideological moorings. Jammu & Kashmir has always been the first focus of the party due to its importance as a frontline State in North India. Due to a number of follies committed by the previous Governments and the politicians, wrong political narratives were given birth by them regarding Jammu and Kashmir State. It is incumbant upon the present leadership of the party to put a permanent halt to the wrong narratives and instead infuse fresh life into the correct narratives.
BJP has always reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and there is any issue with Pakistan, that is regarding its vacation from the Illegaly occupied parts of the State. “We are committed to the unanimous Parliamentary Resolution of 1994 which asks for liberation of the areas illegally occupied by Pakistan. We also reject any compromise on Terrorism and there is no likelyhood to forget Pulwama attack. BJP will work for an everlasting peace in the State by finishing terrorism fully and implementing “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas” in letter and spirit.
