Dr Jitendra speaks to Gadkari, Guv on Toll Plaza

JAMMU, Oct 15: Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dr Jitendra Singh today held threadbare discussions with Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways Nitin Gadkari and suggested that operation of newly opened Toll Plaza at Sarore on Jammu-Kathua road should be deferred.
Dr Jitendra Singh took up the issue of Toll Plaza constructed by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) at Sarore with Gadkari in New Delhi today following protests at various places in Jammu against it.
The Union Minister suggested Gadkari to defer operation of Toll Plaza at Sarore keeping in view peculiar circumstances of the State’s transition into the Union Territory.
Gadkari has assured Dr Jitendra Singh of favourable response on the issue.
Meanwhile, Dr Jitendra Singh today also took up the issue of Toll Plaza with Governor Satya Pal Malik and urged him to defer the continuance of the Plaza.
