Among the other issues that came up for discussion during the meeting, one of them was relating to various scientific and innovative institutions in the State.
Dr Jitendra Singh later pointed out that Gujarat is the State from where the legendary scientist Dr Vikram Sarabai started his Space programme and therefore, the State owes a huge legacy of scientific inventions and innovations.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani took up the issue of some of the scientific and technology institutions of Gujarat, which have earned worldwide recognition, and were looking for further support from the Government of India. Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Centre will seriously look into it.
During the meeting, it was also decided that during the month of April, the traditional Madhavpur Fair held at Madhavpur near Porbandar will be given its due importance and respect. According to folklore, Lord Krishna came to this village along with Rukmini ji and got married here.
