Dr Jyoti Prakash passes away

JAMMU, Feb 25: Prominent ENT Specialist of Jammu, Dr Jyoti Prakash Gupta died today of cardiac arrest at his residence in Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
He was 83. He is survived by wife Dr Sanyukta Gupta (Pharmacologist) and three daughters-Dr Monika Gupta, Engineer Nitika Gupta and Engineer Deepti Gupta.
According to his family members, Dr Jyoti Prakash was as usual examining the patients at his residence this evening when he complained of uneasiness and difficulty in breathing at about 7:15 PM. The doctors were called out immediately but it was too late and he died of suspected cardiac arrest at about 7:30 PM.
The cremation of Dr Jyoti Prakash will take place only after his daughters reached here as the trio is in America.
Dr Jyoti Prakash Gupta had done his medical study from King George Medical College, Lucknow. He retired as Head, Department of ENT, Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu in March 1994
