JAMMU, Oct 20: The head of the Dogra Royal family and Chairman of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust Jammu Dr Karan Singh chaired an annual meet of Trustees and Management Committee today.
The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Trustees Ajatshatru Singh and Ranvijay Singh, both trustees of the MGS Trust and all members of committee consists of Maj Gen GS Jamwal (retd), GR Bhagat IAS (Retd), BD Sharma IAS (retd), Prof Shyam Narayan Lal (Retd), Balwant Singh Thakur, Dr. RS Jasrotia, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Raghubir Singh (SSP retd), and Rajan Singh. The meeting was held at Gulab Bhawan Shalamar Road, Jammu.
Maharaja Gulab Singh’s 232nd Birth anniversary celebration preparation was reviewed as well as the main focus of the meeting was to discuss the important initiatives, including the organization of Rajtilak event of Maharaja Gulab Singh at Jio Pota Akhnoor an event to promote awareness of rich Dogra history and a seminar focused on Raja Amar Singh planned for next year.
In recognition of his contributions, the Trust also presented a memento to Dr. Karan Singh to honor his 75 years of public service. These efforts highlight the Trust’s dedication to preserving and celebrating Dogra heritage.
