Spirituality begins where science ends: Dr Jitendra

NEW DELHI, Oct 19: As Haidakhandi Samaj screened a film “Mahamantra” on teachings and life of the Himalayan spiritual Guru Baba Haidakhan, Chairperson of Jammu Kashmir Dharmarth Trust and former Union Minister Dr Karan Singh observed that such good works on message of spirituality are solace at the time when violence and destruction are prevalent across the world.

“In these critical times, when wars are happening, I am sure the message of spirituality through this movie has great importance,” he said, in his brief speech on the occasion, here this evening.
Dr Karan Singh was chief guest on the occasion while Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh was the guest of honour. The special screening event was organized by Brig (Hony), Dr Arvind Lal, Chairman of Haidakhandi Samaj.
Starting his speech by reciting Shiv Stotram, Dr Karan Singh said our history tells that there have been instances when ‘Ansh’ of Shiva have taken birth and worked for welfare of mankind and the same is believed by Haidakhandi Samaj for Baba Haidakhan.
“Haidakhan Samaj considers Haidakhan Baba as incarnation of Lord Shiva, like Adi Shankaracharya was Ansh of Shiv Ji, Chaitanya ji was Ansh Avtar of Vishnu ji,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of someone to encourage and guide in life, he stressed that we definitely need a Guru in our spiritual journey.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh appreciated the organizers for making him part of the spiritual journey through the film.
He opined that this film will help dispel superstitions associated with religion and make everyone sensible of spiritualism and faith. “Where religion ends, science begins and where science ends, spirituality begins,” he added.
Dr Arvind Lal also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the works of Haidakhandi Samaj besides sharing his reflection on the making of this extraordinary film.
