JAMMU, July 26: Dr KC Sharma, Surgeon Specialist from Udhampur has been selected as board member of Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a period of three years.
During his tenure, Dr Sharma will be responsible for evolving policy initiatives & implementation mechanism and extending DST support for promoting communication of scientific and technological knowledge with a view to empower people to enable informed decision making.
He is one of the 12 members selected from all over the country including Engineering, Mathematics & Medicine and allied subjects. The committee is headed by Prof Krishna Mishra from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad.
Dr KC Sharma has multiple national and international awards for his unique “innovations as a rural surgeon” who has served J&K from Ladakh to Lakhanpur and Poonch to Doda. He has visited many countries as invited speaker for his innovations and their exhibitions.
