Dr Konchok Dorjey presents paper at international conference

JAMMU, May 21: Dr Konchok Dorjey, independent researcher and a teacher who was recently awarded Doctorate Degree from Department of Botany, University of Jammu, under the supervision of Prof Yash Pal Sharma, attended the 18th colloquium of International Association for Ladakh Studies (IALS).
The conference was recently organized by IALS in collaboration with the Board of Polish Academy of Sciences, Humboldt University Berlin, the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland, and was held at the Bedlewo Conference Centre, near Poznan, Poland
In the five-day conference, Dr Konchok also presented a research paper on the topic “Mushroom Folklore in Ladakh: Myths and Social beliefs surrounding Wild Mushrooms”. His participation in the conference was partially financed and supported by some benefactor members of IALS.
