JAMMU, Mar 22: Dr Rohit Lahori, renowned pain specialist from Jammu and National treasurer of the Indian Society for Study of Pain, was invited as faculty at a prestigious Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on Pain Medicine at AIIMS Gorakhpur.
Organized by the Department of Anaesthesia, Pain Medicine, and Critical Care, the event saw participation from over 200 doctors across Uttar Pradesh. Dr Lahori, currently posted at the Government Hospital in Gandhinagar, Jammu, delivered two insightful lectures on advanced pain management.
He spoke on the role of radiofrequency in chronic hip pain and its application in cancer pain management, emphasizing its effectiveness in improving patients’ quality of life. Additionally, he, along with Dr Anurag Agarwal, honorary secretary of the Indian Society for Study of Pain, inaugurated the Gorakhpur branch of the organization.
