Dr M L Dogra conferred Rabindra Ratna Puraskar-2024

JAMMU, July 1: Dr. Mohan Lal Dogra, a versatile personality in the field of Performing Art and Education in J&K has been conferred with prestigious ‘Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2024’ by John Thomas, Chairman & Chandrasekhar KN, Award Committee, Ratna Puraskar National Committee, VEYIL Foundation (Sun-Shine)—an NGO dedicated to work towards the Sustainable Development Goal set by the United Nations.
Dr. Dogra’s excellence in Performing Art and Education has earned him this esteemed award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Folk Music and Dance.
Dr. Dogra worked at Directorate of Field Publicity and Song and Drama Division, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as media person for awareness activities especially on health education.
In addition to promotion of the traditional culture of J&K, he also produced light and sound performances at Kumbh Melas, Haridwar, Ladakh Festivals, Sadbhavna Samarohs etc.
Works by Dr. Dogra also got reorganization from media houses and he received more than 30 awards from the Government and other renowned national and international organizations.
