JAMMU, Feb 13: Dr Brij Nandan Mankotia, Senior Scientist of SKUAST-Jammu, has been awarded with “Best poster” presentation award in the international conference on “Pulses as the Climate Smart crops: Challenges and Opportunities (ICPulse2020)”, recently held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The conference was jointly organized by the Indian Society of Pulses Research and Development (ISPRD), Indian Council of Agricultural Research -Indian Institute of Pulses Research (IIPR), Kanpur, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) News Delhi. The conference was attended by more than 500 delegates from India and other countries.
Dr Mankotia was awarded for his contribution in the pulses production and promotion in the Jammu region through farmers’ participatory mode of pulses seed production analysis paper on the research topic “Pulses Seed Production through Farmer’s Participatory Approach– Boon for Jammu Region of Shiwalik Foot Hills Under NFSM ” under the theme of Participatory Technology Development and adoption of the international conference.
Dr Mankotia, is presently working as Senior Scientist (Agronomy) in All India Coordinated Research Project on Chickpea at Samba under Directorate of Research of SKUAST-Jammu.
