Dr Monojit’s satirical collection hits stands

JAMMU, Nov 29: Dr Monojit’s satirical collection “Sabbhe Gallan Khotian’’ hits the stands today.
The book was released at a simple but impressive function at K L Sehgal Hall this afternoon by K L Garg, chairman Punjab Vayang Academy Mogha, Surinder Seerat, president, World Punjab Literary Society, California and Narinder Mohan renowned Hindi Play-write and poet.
The function was organized by Punjab Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu and a galaxy of poets, writers and intellectuals attended it. The function started with welcome address of Baljit Raina which was followed by reading of papers on the book by Dr Sushil Sharma and Dr Janak Singh Keerti.
The role of Sabha was highlighted by Divender Singh Vishavnagrik. Renowned Hindi poet and author Ashok Sharma also spoke about the book. They highly acclaimed the author and termed the book a master piece.
On the occasion a Punjabi Kavi Darbar was also conducted in which Saleeem Javed, Zahoor-ud-Din Zahoor from Surankote Poonch, Bhupinder Singh Bhargava, president Punjabi Sahtik Sabha R S Pura, Rajpal Singh Mastana, president Punjabi Sahitayak Sangam, Sumer Singh Mastana from Kashmir and Surinder Seerat from USA recited their poems.
The proceedings of Mushiara were conducted by Swami Antar Nirav where as Kamaldeep Singh conducted the programme. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Monojit.
Other renowned scholars who were present on the occasion included Prithpal Singh Betab, Ischupal, Amar Singh Kooka, Harbajan Sagar.
