Dr Mudasir conferred Research Excellence Award

JAMMU, Apr 22: Dr Mudasir Iqbal (PhD Horticulture Fruit Science) belonging to a village of Shalatoo district and tehsil Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir, has been conferred with Research Excellence Award 2021 by Institute of Scholars.
He is presently working as Assistant Professor Horticulture, Department of Agriculture, PDM, University, Delhi NCR. He is also CEO of Green Hi-Tech Horticulture Private Limited dealing with the establishment of High Density Orchards, Agri-Horti clinics and providing advisory to fruit growers of J&K.
Dr Mudasir was conferred the award on his research title of ‘Efficacy of organic and inorganic mulching materials on weed count, growth and yield of Aonla’, published in Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, carried out in the university of SKUAST-Jammu under the supervision of Dr Parshant Bakshi, Senior Scientist, Division of Fruit Science.
He is also a recipient of topper merit certificate in BSc (Horticulture) from HNBGU (a central University), topper merit certificate in MSc Fruit Science from SKUAST-Jammu and recipient fellow of Maulana Azad National Fellowship from UGC, Government of India.
Dr Mudasir was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)-2012 in Horticulture from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). He has also published 20 Research Articles, 4 book chapters, two books and 40 others articles in different reputed national and international journals.
