JAMMU, Apr 6: BJP general secretary Dr Narinder Singh has urged the administration to put the list of PoJK refugees available on website who are the beneficiaries of compensation granted under Central Government’s package for PoJK refugees so that these hapless people are not misled and exploited by some touts.
In a statement issued here today Dr Singh said that some touts are exploiting the refugees and asking them for money to get their names included in the list which is not available with any body except the Revenue Department. The BJP leader has urged the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal to look into the matter and take action against the erring officials also who are in league with these touts.
Dr Singh said the poor refugees are being fleeced by these touts and if the administration puts the list of beneficiaries on net or website it will defeat the designs of touts once for all.
