Neela Marthandan, his educationist father, broke barriers and built a top college in Tamil Nadu, Rohini College of Engineering & Technology, to strengthen the power of modern-day education in the state.
To have the vision to attain certain goals in life is one thing, but to have the courage and the guts, the capability to question the traditional norms and create newer ones, to make bold choices, hustle each day, learn something new and implement the same in the daily work to turn those visions into reality is a different game altogether. People who belong to the latter category are those who surrender to their dreams and never miss an opportunity to build their desired career and life. Shri K. Neela Marthandan, a known educationist, did the same, and so did his educationist son Dr. Neela Vishnu, D. Litt, who today is the Managing Director of their college in Tamil Nadu, Rohini College of Engineering & Technology (RCET).
His father saw the dream to build a new education system in the state after facing several challenges and coming from a lower-income family. He did not want the next-gen to face the same challenges that he did, and so after starting his beedi company and its success, he went ahead in starting several companies under Rohini Group and later, built their college, which today is among the top 5 institutes in Tamil Nadu. His dreams and goals are now taken care of by his son Dr. Neela Vishnu, who, with his knowledge and astuteness, has been fulfilling the visions of the institute, which is to educate every young mind with the highest quality education with the best of amenities, teachers, premises, while focusing on teaching the new-age tech.
The father-son duo understand the importance of science and technology, and hence through the college, they make sure to strengthen the education system in the state so that more and more students gain the opportunity to build robust careers in the same. Not just that, they also provide scholarships and funds to meritorious students.
Dr. Neela Vishnu, who is a highly acclaimed educationist and recognized personality across the state, is determined in his noble cause of providing quality education to every student and paving the way for greater success for them.
