JAMMU, Apr 17: Prof Parshant Bakshi, presently working as Head, Division of Fruit Science, Faculty of Horticulture and Forestry of SKUAST-Jammu, has been awarded with Outstanding Scientist Award (Fruit Science) by INSO Awards in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine organized by VDGOOD Professional Association, New Delhi. He has been awarded for his outstanding contributions and extra ordinary achievements in his chosen fields of activity and services rendered in the field of Fruit Science.
Dr Bakshi is in the profession of teaching, research and extension. He is contributing in teaching of UG, PG and Ph D students in Fruit Science from last 18 years and has guided 8 M Sc. and 7 Ph D students as major advisor and handled 19 externally funded projects. He has published 120 research papers in national and international journals, 11 review papers, 30 book chapters, 12 books, and 40 popular articles.
