JAMMU, May 19: Dr Parveen Singh, an Associate Professor and Head of the Department, Computer Sciences at Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur, has been selected for the prestigious 2024-25 ICTP Italy Fellowship.
This is the second time Dr Singh has received this distinguished fellowship, highlighting his significant contributions to the field. The ICTP Italy Fellowship, renowned for its exclusivity, selects only a few distinguished individuals globally, underscoring the exceptional nature of Dr Singh’s achievements. The fellowship provided him with the opportunity to participate in a 10-day international training program held at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy.
During his fellowship, Dr Singh also visited the ITS Academy for New Technologies of Life, Alessandro Volta, Italy, where he engaged with students and shared his innovative ideas. He actively participated in enlightening discussions with several prominent figures in the nuclear sector and explored artificial intelligence applications in nuclear waste management. He also presented a poster on this cutting-edge topic.
