JAMMU, Mar 20: Dr Rahul Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Urology Super Speciality Hospital was today invited for performing laser surgery for kidney stone at a workshop on lasers at Ayekai Hospital Ludhiana.
He is the first urologist from Jammu to have the honour of being an invited operating faculty for a workshop any where.
It’s pertinent to mention that Dr Rahul Gupta is a pioneer in laser stone surgery and has been instrumental in introducing laser technology to Jammu. He has been performing laser stone treatment for the last 10 years and is credited in introducing latest modalities of kidney stone treatment for the local population.
When asked, he confirmed that laser for stone is the best way to treat kidney stone disease as it is associated with minimal side effects and can treat any sort of stones with good outcomes.
