JAMMU, Apr 27: The Management Committee of Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla has appointed Dr T R Raina, former Professor and HoD of Blood Transfusion Medicines, GMC Jammu as Administrator of the hospital.
Dr Raina took over the charge as Administrator of the hospital today.
The hospital has developed as an advanced medical institution with modern equipment, infrastructure of manpower and was functioning purely on charitable basis.
Dr Raina is the first medical professional, who had initiated the research work in the field of human genetics in the State. His keen interest and belief in Yogic Science has led to the establishment of an Advanced Yoga Centre in the GMC Jammu. He was instrumental in setting up of eight district level blood banks at Kathua, Gandhi Nagar, Udhampur, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch.
