JAMMU, Mar 4: Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Professor and Head, Post Graduate Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College Jammu, has been nominated for Fellowship of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (FIAPSM).
The nomination was made during the ongoing 49th annual IAPSM conference in Nagpur. The Fellowship would be conferred next year in 50th annual IAPSM workshop in Hyderabad.
Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta is alumni of GMC Jammu and did his Post Graduation in 2000. He was inducted in faculty in 2006, became Professor in 2016 and Head in 2020.
Earlier, in 2017, he was awarded IAPSM scholarship to attend IEA workshop in Pokhra, Nepal and was awarded Vasudeva Oration in 2018 in Ludhiana. He has more than 100 publications to his credit and is Principal Investigator in ISMR-INDIAB study-UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been on forefront in COVID-Pandemic and a resource person on DD/AIR and in teaching and training programmes for medical and paramedical staff.
