JAMMU, Feb 28: Dr Vinay Rampal, Senior Consultant in Medicine presently working as Medical Director, Rampal Charitable Hospital and Research Centre, Channi Himmat, was invited to deliver a “Guest Lecture” on “Opportunistic Infections in HIV” (An Indian Scenario) at APICION-2015 (70th Annual Conference of Association of Physicians of India) at Gurgaon in Haryana.
The conference was inaugurated by JP Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare. Opportunistic Infections (OIs) are Infections and Malignancies occurring in PLHA (people living with HIV/AIDS).
During his lecture Dr Rampal stressed upon a physical, mental, and spiritual introspection for a healthy and prosperous society. It was impressed that if OIs are properly treated then even a person afflicted with a serious condition like HIV can live a normal life.
