JAMMU, Mar 23: Dr Ranjit Singh, a renowned knee and hip replacement surgeon, transformed the lives of a couple by performing knee replacement surgery on them in just 20 minutes.
Patient Malkeet Singh (65 years old) and his wife Jaswinder Kaur (60) hail from Samrala, Punjab. The couple was suffering from crippling osteo arthritis of both knees but were very scared of surgery. They wanted to visit Canada to meet their children but because of their knee pain, they could not travel abroad. Their lives had become miserable because of their immobility.
After consulting Dr Ranjit Singh and taking positive feedback from other elderly patients operated by Dr Ranjit Singh, they both made up their mind for surgery. The surgery was performed at Ivy Hospital Amritsar, in mere 20 minutes by Dr Ranjit with his ‘Zero Error’ technique. The patients were made to walk few hours after surgery without any pain and by second day, patients could walk independently without any help and could go to washroom independently.
