JAMMU, Nov 19: Daughter of the soil, Dr Seema Mattoo (Professor of Biological Sciences, Purdue University), is one of the 6 scientists recognized worldwide for the Inaugural Class of an Innovation Award by the Hypothesis Fund, USA.
Seema did her schooling at Jammu and went to St Mary’s Convent Jammu and BSF School, Jammu. She went for higher education to USA and studied Microbiology and Immunology at University of California, Los Angeles and was awarded PhD in 2001.
She is the daughter of Prof Roshan Lal Mattoo (Ex-HoD Biochemistry, Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences and Ex-HoD Department of Biotechnology, University of Jammu).
