POONCH, Sept 17: Dr Shehnaz Ganai, MLC today visited flood victims putting up in various relief camps setup by District Administration for housing the effected families in Poonch.
She appreciated the efforts of the District Administration in rescuing the people from the affected areas thereby saving precious lives. She said that the State is passing through a tough phase due to the havoc caused by the floods in which hundreds have lost their lives and thousands of houses have been damaged.
Dr Ganai also visited the bereaved families, who lost their near ones during the recent floods and expressed her sympathies with them. She gave a patient hearing to the problems being faced by the effected families, and assured best possible help. She asked the District Administration to gear up their resources and leave no stone unturned in resettlement/rehabilitation of the effected families.
